I was actually able to convince my editor at to send me to the Motor City for the 2016 NAIAS this past weekend. So, here are the five most significant production cars unveiled at the show, in my opinion. That’s right, they actually are letting me publish my opinions now! I’m particularly surprised they let what I had to say about the Chrysler Pacifica fly. For your trouble, here are some pictures that I took that won’t necessarily end up in an article, but I figured you would still enjoy.

Here’s everything I’ve got. It was pretty crowded there, so it was difficult to get a good shot. I don’t know if you’re referring to the old GT40 or the new GT, so I’ll just give you all of Ford GT I’ve got.

So when I walked up to it for the first time, the rear was facing me.

I almost exclaimed, “Dat Ass!” but then I realized the product specialist with by far the shortest skirt at the entire show was also standing right next to it so I decided to hold my tongue to avoid seeming like “that guy.”

Honestly though, the number of mouthbreathing 40 year old dudes with beer bellies wearing Mopar shirts that try to carry on long conversations with them after spending 20 minutes crowding around a Hellcat engine bay grunting to each other makes me respect the FCA product specialists so much. They have to put up with the worst car fans while wearing the least amount of clothing (presumably because FCA is run by Italians), and still act professional and gracious.

Those girls are saints man.

This is the best I’ve got for you. Not an FCA product specialist, but this guy’s wife was taking the picture.

I don’t really have very many pictures of the product specialists, mostly because I was concerned with getting pictures of the cars. I only had limited camera/phone battery and space and there was so much material to cover. I should have put more effort into getting pictures of Mopar guys. Maybe I can get some at the DC auto show.
